The San Antonio Spurs and guard Devin Vassell agreed to a five-year, $135 million extension with bonuses up to $146 million potentially, league sources confirmed. Here’s what you need to know:

This is a rookie scale extension for Vassell, who the Spurs selected No. 11 in the 2020 NBA Draft.
In 2022-23, Vassell posted averages of 18.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game on 43.9 percent shooting from the floor. It was Vassell’s career-best scoring season.
