Serbia defeats Canada to advance to FIBA World Cup finals

MANILA, Philippines — Serbia made it to the FIBA World Cup finals without Nikola Jokić. Let that nugget sink in.
To the delight of a large contingent of fans draped in flags, face paint and traditional dress, the Serbians dismantled Canada 95-86 in a semifinal Friday in Manila. Serbia will play Germany at 8:40 a.m. (ET) Sunday for the world championship in Manila.
