Celtics’ Jaylen Brown plays in Big3 All-Star Game: Why his participation matters

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown participated in the Big3 All-Star Game on Saturday in London. Here’s what you need to know:

Brown, the first active NBA player to play in a Big3 contest, started for Team Big. He put up nine points, five rebounds and two assists as Team Big lost to Team 3, 51-42.
The 26-year-old was playing to support a local charity, London Youth, per a release from the Big3 on Friday.
Brown and the Celtics agreed to a five-year, $304 million supermax contract extension last month — the richest deal in NBA history.
